Ahmed Iqbal Qureshi

Ahmed, is a commerce graduate from Islamabad, Pakistan. He was born in Karachi, where he inherited a love for arts and nature. Ahmed is a self taught artist, who started pyrography as a hobby, encouraged and appreciated by peers and family. He has worked in different mediums, oil, watercolor, pencil, pen and ink and silk painting. In 2006 he discovered Firestarter Pyrography, where he became inspired to make small designs onto a piece of wood used as a separator in the cigar box, and then moved onto pieces of ply wood. Ahmed, then decided to choose a theme: HERITAGE OF PAKISTAN, here he presents HISTORICAL BUILDINGS OF PAKISTAN using images taken with his digital camera.

"In the beginning, I kept to smaller sizes then I started making murals, by putting together 12" x 12" pieces of wood. There are only three people doing similar work in Pakistan and I am one of them, and proud of it. It is all because of you Jo dear that I can achieve this fame, now from all over the country people call me, or come to me for pyrographic pictures."
